The Phase 1 JNVST Exam is scheduled for January 18, 2025, while the Phase 2 exam will be held on April 12, 2025. Meanwhile, the JNV Class 9 entrance exam is slated for February 8, 2025. Admit cards for Class 6 have already been made available on the official portal.

JNV Exam Date 2025 Details

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has officially released the exam schedule for JNVST Class 6 and Class 9. Phase 1 of the Class 6 entrance exam will take place on January 18, 2025, followed by Phase 2 on April 12, 2025. The Class 9 entrance test is set for February 8, 2025.

What is JNVST?

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) is an annual exam organized by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) to facilitate admissions into Classes 6 and 9 at Jawahar Navodaya vidyalaya across India.

JNVST Class 6 Admissions

The application window for Class 6 admissions for the 2025 academic year began on July 16, 2024, and will close on September 16, 2024. Phase 1 of the entrance exam will cover selected states and districts on January 18, 2025, while Phase 2 will address the remaining regions on April 12, 2025.

Eligible candidates must currently be in Class 5 and meet the criteria related to age and residence. Admit cards for the two phases were issued separately in October 2024 and December 2024. The pen-and-paper-based test will evaluate Mental Ability, Arithmetic, and Language skills. Results will be published on the official NVS portal, and selected students will be admitted to one of the 649 Navodaya vidyalaya across India.

JNVST Class 9 Admissions

The application process for Class 9 admissions for 2025-26 will commence in October 2024, with submissions accepted until November 15, 2024. Admit cards will be issued in January 2025, around January 19, 2025.

The JNV Class 9 entrance exam is scheduled for February 8, 2025, and will be conducted offline. Results are expected to be declared by March 20, 2025. Eligible candidates born between May 1, 2009, and April 30, 2011, will be tested in subjects like English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Science through objective-type questions.

Eligibility Criteria for JNVST 2025

Class 6 Eligibility

  • Students must be studying in Class 5 in a recognized school in the same district as the JNV.
  • Age should fall between May 1, 2012, and July 31, 2014.
  • Rural quota applicants must have studied in a rural school from Class 3 to 5.
  • Students promoted to Class 5 after July 31, 2023, are not eligible.

Class 9 Eligibility

  • Students must be in Class 8 in a recognized school in the same district as the JNV.
  • Age should fall between May 1, 2009, and April 30, 2011.

For Class 6:

For Class 9:

  3. Enter personal and academic details, and upload photographs and signatures.

JNVST 2025 Exam Pattern

Class 6:
